One of the most exciting projects that we did was a royal wedding. I was asked to create a floral structure that would remain otherwise for further events.

I have created so many spaces, but only two permanent structures. One of the most exciting parts of creating this building was creating a glass ceiling. The reason was simple; all the guests could remain inside and yet be able to witness the fireworks above the building. My client also wanted something classic and neat, whose design would beautifully withstand the test of time.

I have had the good fortune of working in several, diverse countries around the world, and I can safely say that no other country does weddings like India. Weddings in India are extraordinary. It would not be an exaggeration to say that a wedding which may be considered simple in India will be perceived as absolutely over the top in America!

One of the things that I have learned while working in India, is that Indians are renowned masters of the art of hospitality. Their love of hospitality is also reflected in the way that Indian weddings are celebrated.

At Preston Bailey, I have always encouraged my clients not to follow any set of trends, but to try and define their own path. I love the feeling when I am given the challenge to create something that has never been seen before — something absolutely unique. Having said that, one of the things that I have noticed in the current times is the creation of amazing ceiling-decors. A few companies are calling this art — ceiling architecture, and they are mostly designed and executed with flowers.
